The MEIS team was engaged to perform a conceptual design study related to the expansion and renovation of the historical Stadio Dall’Arra in Bologna, Italy upon acquisition of Italian Serie A club Bologna FC by new ownership. The high level goal of the study was to identify potential for additional revenue and experience enhancement in the existing venue as well as developing concepts and an approach for expanding the stands and capacity while ensuring the venue keeps its historic charm. Areas addressed included additional seating capacity in the existing venue, concept development/phasing approach for a new/expanded stands and significant additional capacity seats, enhanced sponsorship activation/branding, enhanced display technology, concourse improvements, etc.
