Minneapolis Metrodome Competition Submission 2008
Proposal for conceptual and schematic architectural and engineering design services for a reconstructed multipurpose stadium to be located on the site of the current Hubert Humphrey Metrodome, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Among the programmatic design elements desired by the Commission was a climate controlled facility with a retractable roof. In an effort to conveying our excitement at this design challenge, as well as our familiarity and experience with retractable architecture, we decided to take the idea down to a whole different scale in submitting our package: to design and build a retractable roof to contain our printed design proposal.
