Morumbi Stadium World Cup Renovation Sao Paolo, Brazil 2009
The 80,000-seat Morumbi Stadium is the city’s biggest sports facility. Given the status of the current venue as a place of great history to Brazilians, it was important to keep the critical elements of the venue the same while adapting the overall vision to address FIFA World Cup requirements. Aedas Sport was hired to design various schemes and bring the stadium up to FIFA standards.Studies include significant bowl and concourse renovation, canopy addition, and development of surrounding masterplan.
