San Francisco 49ers Stadium Design Study

At the request of former 49ers Owner Eddie DeBartolo, a study was undertaken to design and develop a new and improved NFL facility for the San Francisco 49ers anchoring a larger mixed-use entertainment district. Dan Meis’ design was initially selected as the scheme to create the state-of-the-art NFL facility and adjacent development. The design focused on much needed amenities and additional revenue-producing programs while addressing deficiencies in accessibility, life safety, and mechanical systems seen in the previous venue.
