Guangdong Stadium Design Competition Guangzhou, China 1998
An 80,000-seat Olympic Stadium to host the 9th National Games of the People’s Republic of China. Designed for the year 2001, the stadium is the first phase of the proposed complex, which hosts soccer, as well as a full range of international track and field events. During non-competition periods, the stadium serves as a facility for sports training and a venue for national and international events, such as exhibitions and concerts.
