Challenged to design an iconic symbol of peace and rebirth in a city most recognized for its destruction, a simple Koi Pond painting inspired a poignant symbol of life returning after this awesome devastation. The colorful organic forms are transformed in the dramatic flowing structures of a series of concourses, which circulate around the ballpark itself.

The 1.8 million square foot complex consists of a 35,000-seat stadium with a pivoting steel retractable roof and an integrated entertainment complex, which wraps the ballpark with restaurants, retail, theaters, and public plaza areas.
